Based on the Portal Theme by ~wistfulwriter, I thought I'd make some extra icons for my own personal use. Each icon is transparent where there is white space, and there's also an un-bordered version of each icon.
Obviously each logo's copyright belongs to it's respective company
EDIT: -Added four icons (Safari, Vuze, Skype, Frostwire) -Made some minor changes to other icons
EDIT 2: - I've put all the icons (28) into a zip file for download
EDIT 3: - minor changes to the Frostwire icon, updated zip file - minor changes to description
You don't need to open them to use them, you just put them in a folder and change the pathname in the actual rainmeter coding. Not sure why you want to open them, but you could try saving them as something new after opening them in GIMP.
I have absolutely no experience with SliderDock, I've only used RainMeter. You probably know more than I on the subject. If it's a filetype issue, then re-saving the files in gimp under the right type should work. All of my icons are .png, so if SliderDock doesn't accept that type, then they won't work until you change the filetype. That's about all the advice I can give you, sorry.
You should try to find a help forum for SliderDock, they would be more helpful than I can be.
Thanks If I did them right, they should be just like the .png files that wisfulwriter supplied. You will have to actually go into the Rainmeter code for the Dock skin and change the button pathnames. Feel free to drop them in the same folder as wistfulwriter's to make it easier. If you don't know how to change the code, or are having troubles, there is a dedicated tutorial/forum/FAQ on the Rainmeter site (I'm not the best teacher).
Thanks. I actually managed to figure it out fairly early, and ended up making a few icons of my own. =3 I'll have to post screenshots and give credit to you two when I get it all perfect. (Won't be until I find a way to alter the task bar though. But I'm getting there.)
